Arrange the detail early enough to allow for weather, travel and any condition concerns discovered during the service. As a guide, aim to have the car detailed one to three days before the event — close enough that it stays fresh, with enough buffer afterwards to handle an unexpected reschedule if Western Sydney weather turns. Leaving everything until the morning of a wedding is possible for a well-maintained car, but it removes any margin for error.

Match the service to the timeline

A regularly maintained vehicle may only need our Quick Refresh before the big day. A family car that carries kids through the school week usually presents best after a Complete Detail. If the cabin has been neglected or the paint has collected months of road film, a Deep Detail gives the extra attention needed — and booking early means we can allocate the additional time without rushing. Tell us your event date in the quote form and we will work backwards from it.

Explain how the vehicle will be used

Tell us whether the car will carry passengers in formal attire, appear in photographs or be decorated. That changes what matters most: glass clarity for photography, wheels and tyre finish for close-up shots, door shuts and handles for gloved hands, and the boot area if it will hold dresses, suits or flowers. The more we know about the day, the better we can prioritise the details that will actually be seen.

The photo-ready checklist

  • Wheels, tyres and lower panels free of brake dust and grime
  • Door jambs and sills wiped clean for passengers stepping in
  • Dashboard and console dust-free, since interiors often feature in photos
  • Badges and emblems detailed for those tight close-up shots

Choose the service by condition

Be honest about the starting point. A neglected cabin, marked paint or heavy contamination may require more time than a standard package, and pretending otherwise only creates stress in event week. Send clear photos with your quote request and we will recommend the right level — sometimes the answer is simpler than expected.

Prepare decorations carefully

Ribbons, adhesives, magnetic signs and window clings can all affect paint if fitted incorrectly. Fit decorations after the detail rather than before, follow the accessory supplier's instructions, and keep abrasive tapes away from clean bodywork. If someone else is decorating the car, let them know it has just been detailed so they treat the surfaces accordingly.

Keep the finish clean until the day

Park under suitable cover where possible, avoid dusty construction routes and gravel roads, and keep a clean microfibre towel on hand for safe attention to light dust. Resist the urge to do a fast "touch-up wash" with whatever is in the garage — a dry wipe over dusty paint does more harm than the dust itself.
